About Us
In 1923, Jack “Grandpa” Hickey moved with his family to Hickey Farm. Originally a stump farm where work horses were trained, Hickey Farm has been serving the Sandpoint and Ponderay communities for generations. As a child, Grandpa Jack learned how to work the land with his own two hands. He learned his tireless work ethic from his parents, who instilled in him the importance of treating the land and people right.
Grandpa Jack’s two children, Jim Hickey and Jacki Holt, grew up with the same values that guided him. Whether it was spending a long day baling hay in the middle of summer, or making sure everyone who visits the farm has a nice warm meal, Jim and Jacki gave Hickey Farms its heart. Jim still lives at the farm, taking care of the day-to-day business and ensuring it’s in tip-top shape for visitors.
